DF 7 § 1 - SAFETY REGULATIONS OF 25 JUNE 1980
“Premises of more than 100 m² in the basement, premises of more than 300 m² on the ground floor and upstairs, as well as premises of more than 100 m² without opening to the outside (door or window) are smoke-extracted. This smoke extraction can be achieved either by natural draught or by mechanical draught.”

Depending on the family of the residential building (2, 3A, 3B or 4), the decree requires the presence of a smoke extraction system, from a simple natural system in the stairways to the most complete mechanical system in the corridors.
