DAAF LEGISLATION

The DAAF has been, since the ALUR law[1], mandatory in all residential premises. Art. L122-9 "For dwellings occupied by a tenant at the time of entry into force of Article 1 of Law No. 2010-238 of March 9, 2010 aimed at making the installation of smoke detectors mandatory in all residential premises, the owner's installation obligation is satisfied by providing a detector to his tenant or, if he so wishes, by reimbursing the tenant for the purchase of the detector."

The DAAF must:

- have the CE marking,

- and comply with the harmonized European standard NF EN 14604.
