The safety register is subject to regulatory obligations under French law, regardless of the establishment's category, operation, or activity. It is the responsibility of operators, employers, and safety managers to ensure effective management of safety, fire prevention, and accessibility. It is therefore essential to maintain the safety register rigorously so that it can be presented at safety committee meetings or in the event of an incident. The safety register serves as a reference for monitoring and tracing safety measures. It must reflect the monitoring of the establishment's safety measures and ensure the traceability of information.
In addition to including dates and details of visits and development works, it must also record all safety-related events and be updated:
Controls, observations and recommendations of the Safety Commissions
Evacuation and fire prevention drills conducted periodically
Monitoring of staff training (updated training, refresher training, etc.).
